when putting the show together i had to accept and appreciate all opinions. the good opinions are easier to accept obviously. i made this piece specifically for the people that think my art can be done by a 2 year old. “can that be true?” i asked myself. yeah it’s possible but is that what art is about? my perspective changed when i realized that art isn’t a box humans put it in. this piece was never created before. does it matter if a two year old can do it? what is the focus on? if the body of work doesn’t speak to you then move on. no need to have a negative outlook on it. i think it speaks louder if someone is willing to show a body of work that can be ridiculed by the people he cares about the most, and chooses to still stay true to himself.
