when i was growing up i wanted to be a “professional fisherman.” hopefully one day i can get a boat and fulfill that dream lol. what i didn’t know then but know now, is that i loved fishing because of the peace. the patience it requires, allows you to just sort out your thoughts. i think there were lots of thoughts, possibilities, outcomes and words in my head as a kid, and fishing was the safe place to just let it go. i was young and addicted but could never comprehend the importance of fishing. i would try and get my friends to go fishing but it seemed like they only went for the fish, and i liked that part as well, but it was mainly the peaceful atmosphere that lured me in.
